Summer SAR Training Craiova - August 2026
This Search & Rescue (SAR) training event combines theoretical and practical sessions designed for handlers and dogs who want to develop operational search skills. Practical exercises will take place in multiple environments, both during the day and at night, to simulate real deployment conditions.
Throughout the event, participants will take part in practical SAR exercises, classroom sessions, and continuous evaluations covering psychological, cynological, and physical aspects.
Organizational Information
- Throughout the event, all trainees must comply with the Training Regulations.
- The courses will include both theoretical and practical sessions, conducted during the day and at night.
- During the training, all trainees will undergo psychological, canine-technical, and physical assessments.
- The trainees’ dogs must be at least 5 months old. Breed, sex, size, and color are not relevant, but the dogs must display non-violent behavior toward both animals and people.
- The dogs must have an identification microchip implanted.
- Dogs that display unpredictable or uncontrollable reactions, or show fear of darkness, fire, thunder, heights, or loud noises, are NOT recommended.
- The handler is fully responsible for any damage caused by their dog.
- Each participant, including the instructors, must wear clothing appropriate for the area and conditions.
- It is NOT mandatory for all trainees to bring dogs with them.
- Accommodation, meals, transportation, and any other fees must be covered by each participant.
- Veterinary and medical checks will be carried out at the beginning of and throughout the event.
- It is recommended, but not mandatory, that each trainee and their dog have proof of life or accident insurance.
- It is recommended, but not mandatory, that each group of trainees and their dogs have both canine and human SAR equipment. When several trainees come from the same city, club, or group, they may share one set of canine and human SAR equipment.
- Trainees participate in the training at their own risk.
- By participating in this training, and with the trainee’s consent, the organizers may add the trainee to their database.
