  7. Withers (regio interscapularis) — The highest point of the trunk, between the shoulder blades, just behind the neck.
  8. Back (dorsum) — The upper line of the trunk, from the withers to the lumbar region.
  9. Lumbar region (loin) (regio lumbalis) — Between the last rib and the pelvis, on the upper part of the trunk.
  10. Croup (regio sacralis) — From the front edge of the pelvis to the base of the tail.
  11. Thorax (chest) (thorax) — The front part of the trunk, between the forelimbs and the abdomen.
  12. Abdomen (abdomen) — The lower and rear part of the trunk, between the last rib and the pelvis.
  13. Tail (cauda) — The continuation of the vertebral column, from the croup downward.
  14. Forechest (regio presternalis) — The front part of the trunk, below the neck, between the forelimbs.

  20. Forepaw (manus) — From the carpus downward: the metacarpus, the toes and the pads.
  21. Thigh (femur (regio femoris)) — The upper part of the hindlimb, from the hip to the stifle.
  22. Stifle (knee) (genu) — Between the thigh and the lower thigh, at the front of the hindlimb, close to the bottom line of the abdomen.
  23. Lower thigh (second thigh) (crus) — Between the stifle and the hock.
  24. Hock (tarsus) — Between the lower thigh and the hind paw; the "reversed" joint in the lower part of the hindlimb.
  25. Hind paw (pes) — From the hock downward: the metatarsus, the toes and the pads.
  26. Forehead (frons) — Above the eyes, on the frontal bone, between the stop and the crown.
